Kona Challenge Almost Completed

Here’s another sneak peek at the quilt top…….I’m currently sewing on the binding……so I’ll save that picture until I’m done….. I’ll show you a picture of the back instead…. I’m truly loving this side very much…..I was trying to use all the scraps left over from the paper pieced arrows……..It turned out so cute, I think this quilt could very well be reversible……

the binding will be completed tonight…..we have our meeting tomorrow and I can’t wait to see what everyone else has done!

…..until next time…….

Quietly Working

I’ve spent the past two weeks doing some paper piecing…………..

You see I have a challenge that I’m working on……..The Tucson Modern Quild was given a set of Robert Kaufmans Kona Charms Squares to be used to create whatever you wanted to……….Only stipulation was that you could only add solids…..our guild decided that we could add two solids ……..I choose a bright charm pack and decided that white would be one of my color choices ………

I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do……so I decided to check out Quilter Cache for some inspiration and that’s where I found the block called London Roads that I’m working with……….

Since yesterday……I’ve completed the top and bottom…….decided on a quilting design…..loaded it up on “Baba” (that’s the name of my longarm) last night and will spend the rest of my morning quilting it ……..Hurray………

You’ll have to check back either later today or tomorrow depending on how my days goes…….. to see the completed quilt……..I’ love it………

………..until next time………
