Well another week has gone by and I still have nothing to share 
as far as quilting.
I did get a couple of thing done like last months block from Capricorn Quilts 
The new one for this month is posted on her web site.
I have also been working on the Noah’s Arc blocks but didn’t have the right color of thread to finish off both of the last two blocks…….I did go shopping yesterday and got the right color of threads …. so I’ll get those finished up this weekend.
I was at the lovely thrift store again and I found a few more great bargains. Like this pattern from Bareroots it a stitchery of some chickens 
I got it transferred onto some muslin and purchased the thread that I need to complete it. You can’t see it to well in this picture so when I have it finished I’ll post it again with all the wonderful colors………..Here are a couple of book that I also found for .45 cent each. 
I didn’t even care if they had anything that I was interested in or not ………….. for the price of them how could I pass them up……………I new I could always pass them along to someone…..but they turned out to be pretty good books……….until next time…………take care………
It’s been a really hot around here. Tucson has been averaging about 107 degrees with a couple of 110’s…….It’s just HOT - HOT - HOT…….It surely is not sewing season around here but, it has been a great time for shopping…………I got these two really great fabrics at Joann’s the piece of leather was from a previous shopping trip at Bernina’s 
…..They are going to be used for a new purse that I plan on making…………hopefully in the very near future………While I was at Joann’s I spotted this new line of premium quality quilting fabric called Legacy studio here is one of the fabrics 
I was able to use a 50% off coupon…yeah….When I got home I had a flyer in the mail announcing the fabric line along with a couple of 40% off coupons for the next couple of weeks ……. I surely will be going back for some more…………….
On a personal note…. family time this weekend was spent at the Drag Strip!……..Chris and Brandon were drag racing….this was Brandon’s first time …….He did pretty good for a newbie… until it was time to race for the money……….He lost control of the bike at the take off and down he went……….He’s fine….the only thing hurt was his pride……….He wanted to get back on that bike really bad and finish the race but he broke the primary cover and oil was spilling out……….. so he could not finish…………. ahhhh

The baby blanket is finally finished!!! Whoot - Whoot–
The baby shower is this weekend and the gift is ready to go. I absolutely love the way it turned out it is so bright and cheery. A big Thank You!!!……to Sindy Rodenmayer for the free pattern. Sindy has wonderful designs. I wish I was so talented………..maybe some day……….take care……………
I’ve been behind on my BOM’s since I went on vacation. But, the weather here in the desert has been wonderful. I’m not so sure whats going on but were not 100 degrees………….today it’s only 86. So needless to say when I get home from work it is just so nice to sit on the patio and enjoy the weather.
I got a little caught up last night and finished this
I also got the next two months transferred on the fabric and
started on them as well. So if the weather stays as pleasing as it’s been I’ll have them finished in no time……….take care……….
Here is a little find that I got from my sister Barb. Her relatives recently past away. She had an estate/yard sale and these were some of the things that didn’t sell. I got this little sewing box tin….. I had fun sorting out all the stuff…….. There were a few recycled buttons, embroidery floss (red - white - blue), threads, eleastic thread, and this cute pin cushion. 
I also got the table runner that the pin cushion is sitting on. The pin cushion was crocheted and has a ball of wool on the inside of it. Every time I gave it a squish I’d find another needle in it…………I also got this great old suitcase. The airlines told me that I could not use it when flying again. It is to old and not designed for the rugged use that they put your suitcases through……haha….
I been thinking if i should leave the tag on it for it’s last excursion………..I though it might be nice to drape an old quilt on it, or something like that……….Lastly my mom gave me this smock that my grandma wore………..
……..She thinks I could use this as a pattern and make a few……………Don’t you just love the bird fabric…………Until next time—Take Care………
