Meet the new Puppy ……….Black/Chocolate Lab mix……she weighs 9 pound and is 8weeks old ……..She doesn’t have a name yet……Nothing seems to fit just right…….I like Lola or Sophia……..Chris doesn’t like either of them……She likes to dig a lot so was thinking of Digger but, that sounds to much like a boy…… so I came up with Tilly, short for a rotor tiller ……..any suggestions………my other Dog is Dexter

A few weeks ago I signed up for a swap making potholders ……….

This is the Mini Quilt that I received from my swap partner while participating in the Good Ol’ Summertime Swap……..I feel so special to have such a quilt…..It was made by Rucas she lives in Portugal…..her blog is Trapos & Trapalhadas………It was inspired by the candy striped houses of the beach resort Costa Nova………
I love that she included the post cards with the quilt……..(just looking at the post cards makes me want to go their for a vacation)……….it gives you a greater since of the area……she used ribbon for the roofs and felt for the windows and doors, hand embroidered around both ……..she added a label 
and a hanging sleeve………Do you also see the butterfly pendant that she included…….I’m not sure if she made it herself but I really like it……….Thanks so much Rucas……….as a final inspection of the quilt….. my partner in crime had to place her stamp of approval on it 
as you can tell she approved of it and loves it just as much as I do………until next time………

As promised here is a picture of the Mini Quilt that I received from Cheri Schwind of Hilton, New York………Cheri is a non blogger so there is not a web site for me to link to for Cheri…….although she is thinking about it……..She made this beautiful paper pieced acorns mini quilt for me……here is a little close up of the acorns………..aren’t they cute………
…………..it is a really nice little quilt and I’ve got it on display on my dining room table showing it off……….There also was a set of coasters that matched the quilt……..Cheri Thanks again I really do love it……….
………..I’ve completed my mini quilt for the swap………. it’s ready to be mailed………. it’s called “Blooming Sunflower” the designer of this pattern is Shannon Williams……
I had to take Friday off from work so I could take my babes in for a little outpatient surgery…….he was pretty out of it on Friday and really taking it easy on Saturaday and Sunday…….he’s feeling a little better today……. since I had some extra time at home I was able to complete a couple of projects that were started around the holidays……. 
first up is “Snowpals” the designer of this pattern is kalico kreations by Kathy Arnold…… I was going to add this to the Quilting Qalleries weekly contest but, I’m really was not impressed with the fabric choices that I made ………so I didn’t bother………..I also got this one quilted and all ready for hanging…….. 
…………..after seeing this one completed I think I would have made different fabric choice for the thimbles…….But, my babes thinks that this one needs to be his………okay………until next time…….

I was home alone all of last week!!…….It was so nice to be able to whatever you want all day……..I think Chris was getting worried…….Maybe not worried just jealous……..I stayed in my comfy clothes and headed to my sewing room right after he left to go to work everyday……boy is it ever a mess now…….but, it gets like that when your trying to be creative……….I’ve been working on about 5 different projects all at once……
……….My sister has a birthday coming up so I wanted to make her a pillow using this design from Fatcat Patterns 
She collects pigs so I thought this would be fun………I also bought this pattern while we were in MN this summer……….
…….It’s so cute that I had to make 2……..one for her and one for me………….all though I collect roosters……..well that’s it for today I’ll be sure to post the finished products after they have been quilted…..until next time………

I’ve got my project to work on for the holiday break……..I’m going to finish up my A Tisket, A Tasket blocks
I’ve seen a few completed quilts already that really inspire me to finish………..until next time……..
Here are a few projects that I’ve made…….This is a pillow that I made for Christmas this year…..I was making two of them so I could give one as a gift but I still haven’t finished the embroidery on the second one yet…….. I not really liking the dark blue that I used and I think that a teal/aqua color would have been better…….so I’m going to use that color on the other one and see if I like that better……..

My sister Carol had called and said that she needed some Christmas stockings…….. I made her family some really pretty stockings that I designed on my embroidery machine three years ago……… she claims that hasn’t been able to locate them since the year I made them for her so…….. I made these up really quick for her and Thomas……stuffed them with little gifts and got them in the mail……… I know that she wanted me to make the same stocking that I gave her before but I just didn’t have time….remember from my last post I’m saying “NO”
Here is the gift that I made for our work Christmas gift exchange……..(I’m so mad at myself for not getting a final picture of it completely quilted because it looked really nice)……….we all bring gifts……. when the party begins you get a number and when it’s your turn you can either steal someone else gift or pick from the table……..my co-worker that picked my gift was so happy with her gift that no one wanted to steal it from her…….I was actually thinking about stealing it back myself ……..but, that would have been bad………..until next time……..
The hustle and bustle of December is definitely here, and so is the need to do it all – Shopping, decorating, baking, annual parties and – not to mention the “normal” happenings of daily life……… I don’t know about you, but the clock seems to be short a few hours every day……….I barely manage to get most things done in a timely manner………..I’ve had to use this word a lot “NO” …………
I’ve been working on a lot of projects 
some for family, a lot for other people and the blog well it just had to take a step aside.
I’ve been snapping pictures along the way so well see what I can get posted……..until next time………………
